I really really really hope that is not what I find when I pull mine. I think that would be the end of any chance I have of riding this year.:face-icon-small-fro

go figure its the MAG side...

are they gouges or just scratches?

when was the last top end done?

look at your piston wash, and cylinder head condition too.

any debris in there? check your reeds for debris as well, crakced throttle body boots?

I need to check all those things. I just bought this thing 2 months ago. The TQM2 w/ new 06 pistons was done on 7/1/2009. According to the guy I bought it from, the new engine only has about 500 miles on it, only out west miles. I called indy dan and emailed the pictures. I guess I'll see what he says and go from there. Either way, this sucks. I guess thats the risk of buying a used sled. The sled had a Boondockers Nitrous kit on it but he said he never sprayed the new engine because it wasn't tuned for the nitrous yet.

Guido- Most of the marks are just scratches, but there are a couple good gouges. You said said go figure, its the mag side. Is this fairly common?

I was planning on selling the nitrous kit with the boondockers controller. Mabe I should keep the controller to richen up the mixture to prevent this again?
