We were loading up at the Green Rock parking lot at 3pm yesterday and about half a dozen search/rescue & emergency vehicles went flying past us to the top of the unloading area. Anyone know what happened. I hope everyone is OK.
From what I've heard is there were 5 total riders. The elderly gentleman who passed away rolled his sled and internal injuries were the cause. The other 4 riders had very limited riding experience and decided to ride their way out to find help when they got lost. A guy by the name of Ty? found the lost group and helped bring them down!
Funny how stories change through different sources. Thanks for the update sclwald. Hope the gentleman that tried to help the deceased gets through it. Tough situation. Thoughts and prayers to the gentleman.I heard the same thing except it wasn't limited riding experience but a white out that caused two of them to get lost. They were part of the group that found the guy. I have ridden before with one of the guys that was with the gentlemen when he passed and he is a great rider. My wife works with one of their best friends and i guess the guy dying in his arms really has messed him up.

You know I hope when I'm 70 I can still get out and ride.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family
