Here are the first pics of the new BD turbo shot at the SLC show... I'd like to see pics of the other turbo kits out there too!!

Looks like plenty of room for a good cold air intake system!!

I'm digging the bolt on exhaust.

I cant say i like the charge tube being right on top of the exhaust that will get hot and the fresh air intake sitting right beside the hot exhaust?.How long do ya think that prefilter will last?

I had a conversation with Rocky Jr at Boondockers over the phone.

Some details he wanted me to point out... for fairness

This unit, on this sled, is the first pre-production unit from Boondockers to make it to a PRO-RMK...The Intercooler design is yet to be finalized, the charge tube and air supply will get adjusted and fit into the final version.

The Boondocker turbo in the Pro Chassis was run on the RMSHA circuit in sleds last season ...like in Erin Buekelmans Struthers/Boondockers RUSH mod. so the hardware has been sorted out and field tested.

As is popularly known, the new 800 motor in the Pro Chassis is as CFi-2 (2 injector) as compared to four of the previous 800 CFi engines. The new Boondocker Low-boost kits will be able to use the factory 2 injectors BUT... the high boost kits will have supplemental injectors for additional fuel delivery requirements.

The Boondocker turbo is kept low in the chassis so that the already excellent handling characteristics of the sled are not altered with a different CG.

Junior also wanted to point out that Boondockers race support has been at every RMSHA event to support riders and help the production division with evolution of kits for the consumers in a very abusive "test field".

Delivery dates are not yet set, though component production has already begun. Boondockers will not release any kits to consumers until they are fully tested.. on the snow... by many different Boondocker performance partners.

Snow-checked the BD PG kit an now curious to which kit I'm actually getting, (2 injector or 4), and what boost# each kit is capable of? Anyone have any info?

Details on that will be out in November from what I'm told.

Boondockers told me that they will not release final details till the test sleds have plenty of miles on them.

On snow testing

The BoonDocker crew had the Snowest project PRO-RMK and one of their test PRO-RMK's on the snow yesterday and today. Both turbo'd sleds worked incredibly well for the first time out. There is still a lot of durability and rideability testing to be done but the crew is very happy with how the machine is handling boost. Both machines were running pump gas with one machine running 5 psi and the other 7 psi.
The snow was incredible allowing the crew to do some great testing of the machines sidehilling and in the trees.
