Snowmobiling in YNP

Hey-

Need help finding somebody to take me & my fam through the park this year. Trying to put a trip together, and I haven't been in the park since they shut out 2-strokes. I would need to rent 3 sleds and would like to go to the falls and then back out thru old faithful. Anybody have any contacts I can get ahold of to check pricing, availability etc???

Thanks

Grandpa

We were in there in 2004, and 2005

Rented sleds from Gale Archer, owner of POLARIS WEST (in West Yellowstone), and owner of the DAYS INN across the street. He provided us with a tour guide as well

sleds were $125-$135 a day with fuel included

guide was $125 for the day

Hope this helps

The dealers all have sleds for rent, half day and full day rentals. If you have a hotel in mind, might want to check with them for package deals. Also make sure you have a guide lined up, it's the only way to get into the park these days. You can still ride outside the park without a guide, so that's an option to depending on how many days you want to ride.

do you really want to sled, if I wanted to see the park in winter I think I would just take a snow bus, nice and warm and can chat with family, just my 2cents

not sure if private guides are still available, I think its all large groups now, but not sure, whatever hotel you stay at can arrange sleds and guides,

by see "the falls" do you mean Mesa Falls? Mesa Falls is not in the park so you can ride your own sleds there

Im out on a snow coach- used to drive by them all the time when 2 strokes were allowed, by the falls I meant Yellowstone falls or the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone- Ive checked a few places and you can do one or the other but not both in the same day- don't know why its only 100 miles round trip if I remember right.
