I am talking with T-Struck, looking to get them up to Rick's place again this year, off 12th street in Ogden. I don't know anyone at 509 or Boondockers, those would be great premiers as well. BD's is already scheduled, right?
There are current discussions going on with myself on behalf of CinePointe in Ogden and UAC to hold Thunderstruck premier. If it happens, this would be in addition to our annual avalanche discussion/movie night in November.
2 great events on the calendar: Boondockers 10 at Brewvies in SLC and Thunderstruck 12 at Cinepointe 6 in Ogden. Both will feature live avalanche forecasters, avalanche information, a drawing for great donated gear, and a movie to get you pumped up for winter.
Heads up: Mark your calendars now and plan to attend an on-snow avalanche class in the Uintas led by Craig, Trent, and Dan on January 16 & 18 (details and advanced purchase tickets posted soon). Another class is being planned in the Logan area & we'll let you know as soon as we have a date.
By popular demand: We are going to do 2 shows of Boondockers 10 at Brewvies on Thursday, October 24, one at 6:30 pm and the other at 8:30 pm. Those who already bought tickets will get an email asking you to choose one. This will be a great way to kick off the Snow Show, especially with a lot of folks in town for the show. Added incentive: If we get a good turnout, we'll turn the snow on again and leave it on! Details and tickets here.
Triple-S Polaris in West Haven (Ogden area) is doing a film showing of the new 208 Productions movie on October 18th starting at 7:00 pm. There will be free snacks and drinks...and free admission! I'm gonna throw up a thread about it in a few mins.
Go to http://utahavalanchecenter.org/store for details and to get tickets for both. Note that online advance tickets save you a buck or 2 and are available until the morning of the event.
