This is our 3rd course of the season. The snowmobile specific course is taught by a combination of the Wolf Creek Avalanche School, Tyler's Backcountry Awareness, and Mounatin Skillz in southern Colorado. On the evening of the 22nd, we will conduct the classroom and discussion portion of the course in Del Norte followed by a full day of on the snow training and education the 23rd on Wolf Creek Pass. The focus of this course is learning about and understanding the resources available for information and translating that into awareness on the mountain, gear understanding, and performing an efficient rescue. There is MUCH MUCH MUCH more involved and I am happy to answer any questions here, private message, email, or via phone call. The cost of the course is $200 and at this time we do have a few available spots. REGISTRATION
We received over 7 feet of snow from the last storm and it will be very interesting to examine that new snow and how it has impacted the snowpack. We have a variety of loaner gear from Mammut and the new Highmark lineup of airbags from SnowPulse for our students to borrow/demo while we are on the snow. Below are some photos from this seasons previous courses.
Thanks, Matt
