I considered doing the same thing a few years back Dan.. Only thing that stopped me was the statement you made about the winds. And honestly flying over the mtns. in a 172 made me quesy. Sounds like you got alot more HP than i would of been able to do it in but BE CAREFUL. Lots of bad weather and that whole gotta get home theory is not a good combination.
Keep in mind if you do get held back by weather you can ride back with me anytime.
Thanks for the ride offer, we're planning on having the truck out there also, gotta pull a trailer ya know. Nice thing about living there is I shouldn't have any get-there-itis, makes go-nogo decisions easier. We did fly out for the 4th of July, no problem. Ended up taking Guy and Karen up for a little sightseeing trip around the valley. 10200 DA that day and we still climbed out at around 700fpm, gotta love hp.

There's snow in the forecast this weekend - 70% chance on Saturday night! They're not saying how much snow, but it's a start.

I can't wait to ride this year. All the snow Montana is getting is getting me even more excited. I might have to drive out there next weekend just to look at it. LMFAO! I NEED TO RIDE!!!

I'll be there. I know some good spots up there. Hell I used to live there right across the street. If you know how to get to the front faces of Sand you get into some fun but dangerous stuff. It's a riot though. I'll be there I just gotta find a sled though. MY guy with my old sled backed out on me. I even sold my Ducati to buy it back. I'm kinda mad
