I remember seeing a list of the top 15 backcountry sled destinations on here somewhere but can't find it for the life of me.

Does anyone have a copy of it or know where I can find it?

I'm trying to plan out next season's destinations :)

i have a copy of it at home somewhere, i'll search after work, sure by then someone would of found it

1) Hot Tub
2) Bedroom (crazy sh!t happens there)
3) Couch (Bend her over the side, good penetration)
4) Bathroom counter (honestly)
5) Weight bench

Hey, wait a minute, we talkin' bout the same thing here? :face-icon-small-sho

love it HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Snowest comes out with a top ten list every year. Most of the same ones are on the list. Been to about 3/4 of them there all good, but there are others that weren't listed, that are as good or better. The reason is they didn't fit their selection criteria. The ones I can think of right off hand are:

Rabbit ears
Cooke
Yellowstone
Island Park
McCall
Evanston
Logan
Snowies
Togwottee
Crater Lake

The list changes but at least 6 of those are there every year. This is just my humble reculation.

Taken from SnoWest's Volume 34. No# 8

1)Continental Divide Wyoming
2)West Yellowstone
3)Island Park Idaho
4)Cooke City Mont.
5)Snowy Range
6) McCall Idaho
7)Alpine Wyoming
8)Stanley Idaho
9)Seely Lake Mont
10)Diamond Lake Oregon
11)Big Horns Wyoming.
12)Cache valley Utah
13)Grand lake Idaho
14)Baker/Union Counties Oregon
15)Mount Bachelor Oregon

Hope that's what you're looking for!:beer;

Don't bother with Rabbit Ears. That place sucks, try Irwin, CO, the Snowies or Togwotee

Its places like N. Idaho and NW montana that get left off the list becuase there not great destinations, but HOLY crap, theres some amazing terrain tucked away in our little slice of snowy paridise up here!!

The best part is the "lists" don't even mention B.C. Canada. Lets just keep it that way, the rocky mountains run right from the northwest corner to the southeast corner. In my opinion there is no best place until you have ridden them all. The above areas mentioned are only a small portion of the area that is out there and therefor there is a lack of judgeable terrain to be tracked up........................

I know you're being sarcastic, but I'm not. Rabbit Ears doesn't even make my top 5 within 1 hour of Steamboat. I'm sure it's that way all over - just because everyone knows a place and it's easy to get to doesn't mean it's the best around. You've got to make freinds with someone who's been riding the region for 30 years to find the good stuff.:D

This can't be the top backcountry places, Togotwee isn't even listed and there is SIC backcountry there?

My idea of the best places to sled, are places that have good snowboard and ski access to. I cant believe so many people snowmobile, and dont ski or snowboard. I hate it when i go somewhere to sled and there is nowhere to snowboard.
