Snowest Top 15 places to ride

I know you're being sarcastic, but I'm not. Rabbit Ears doesn't even make my top 5 within 1 hour of Steamboat. I'm sure it's that way all over - just because everyone knows a place and it's easy to get to doesn't mean it's the best around. You've got to make freinds with someone who's been riding the region for 30 years to find the good stuff.:D

True Dat! I have a better place that I like to hit but Snowest doesn't know about it. I like RE because it is 15-20 minutes away and I can have some good times there. I will not go to VP or the Gore west of Kremmling.

Love the post......our group has been trying to put together a "Dream Trip".....take 3-4 weeks and ride 5 places all around the country. Maybe meet up with locals in each spot to take us to some sweet backcountry and ride 3 days in each spot then travel to next spot. (not places 2 hrs apart....days apart) I was really surprised at the list that some areas werent listed..like anwhere in BC, etc

You in Joe?!?!? :beer;:D

My idea of the best places to sled, are places that have good snowboard and ski access to. I cant believe so many people snowmobile, and dont ski or snowboard. I hate it when i go somewhere to sled and there is nowhere to snowboard.

Thats what ski areas are for!! Honestly, I skied 105 days this year and not one was off of a sled, it's a headache just thinking about it. Better off with some AT bindings and just skiing out of bounds where the sleds can't go and people don't dare.

Sure is alot of Oregon on that list!!

yeah bc sucks to ride...can only ride between sea level to @ 10 000 feet and has mostly bottomless powder at the worst places... better off to ride in alberta where they measure their 12 hour accumulations in inches (jus-kiddin!)-lol

monthly accumulation in inches

You find time to "board" when you ride? I can barely satisfy myself with a full 8hr day of "huckin"!
