SNOWEST chickens in 800 challenge

I am sorry but who cares who they declare a winner. SW will never change my mind on buying a sled because of their tests they do on the sleds. Its good to hear what kind of improvements are on the sleds but by the time i get the magazine i have already been on each manufactures website and looked up the specs myself. Personaly I buy what i want to ride and what i like the best. Just because the magazine tells me that the doo is the best sled is not going to make me say ok i will go buy that sled now. I actually like the fact that there is no declared winner. Give the pros and cons on each of the sleds and let the consumer decide which one is best for them.

Besides the dealer is 99% of my purchase. Skidoo gave me a sled back in 2004 and I still can't find a dealer that i can trust. I will never buy Skidoo unless my prefered dealer picks up the skidoo line.

Don't matter to me...

By the time I can afford any of the 2009 800's they'll be about the same vintage as my '97 XLT. The blue book on a XP should be about $2500 then. But by then sleds will have autopilot and real warp speed.

EARTH FIRST! We'll snowmobile the other planets later!!!

Is there anyone that rides a truely stock sled? Everyone Iv'e ever seen has some extra parts somewhere. Just remember that out there somewhere is a bunch of powder that hasn't been trashed and folks that's just sad

With all of the other crap going on in the world today, having this many choices for a good mountain sled is a good problem to have. I know it makes for good keyboard racing, but they are all worthy sleds......Some better at things, some worse. Competition is bringing out the best in a lot of ways. This year just happens to have slowed down a bit because of the economy. Cheers......

Hmmm better check the pistons if you have an 800, Poo just can't get a motor to run over 700 cc.
What?!? I have a well tuned 600 in my sig line, what do I care about how polaris 800's run? It was an observation from the earlier 800 mag!!!! I am worried more about the XP 800 than any other, the one we have has been towed twice by my 600, less than 650 miles on it. Electircal once, second time exhaust fell off, ya, just fell off. Oh well, still a fun sled, not biased towards any model, rode cat and xp 800's but not a poo 800, so what does it tell ya....

If this is gonna turn into a who can throw more sand in the mangina thread, scoop scoop scoop, not here......

take it this way --you go to a Nascar race and after 500 miles they declare no winner but tell you it was close competition---just call it like you see it---1st-2nd-3rd place and thats that--most can figure out what we like and dislike in certain brands--we all ride what we like anyways but if you call it a competition or shoot out man up and call it like you rode it---there are things i like about the cat and the poo's but i just prefer the doo right now--:D:beer;-this wasnt meant to be anykind of a brand bashing post--more against Snowest for the no call---they have called it every other year as far as i know:confused:

I think they were tired of people being mad at them and taking flake for putting the "wrong" sled on top! If you don't like what I like, you're wrong..

Two words...Lane Lindstrom...nobody wants to state the obvious with this economy:light:...its true for me also, snowest results do not determine what sled I buy in the future.
