Snowest Archers.....please stand up?

Nice! Wish I was still working over there. Can't find anybody here to get a shoot together, let alone find other peeps that shoot.

I picked up a Bowtech General and I'm eager to get it tuned for me.

I'm afraid that if it's on a Saturday and there is still riding to be done that I won't make the archery shoot:Cry:

I was thinking it would be around June. Just keep us posted on when you want to try and get together and I will try and make it down. I just struggle with the idea of putting the sled up for the year when we still have snow in the mountains.:face-icon-small-hap:face-icon-small-hap

May or June would be good.
I can not recall but did one of the ski hills in SLC have a 3d range set up last summer? (Snowbird)

I just started shooting that General. WOW! That is a smooth shooting bow, quiet and smoking fast. Nice day out today too. Hopefully my 5yr old might wanna start practicing to. I have a 50 yard range set up at my house.

Anybody have any plans for making a homemade Bow stand, like you see at the ranges?

Yes it was Snowbird, it's a hard course and you want a range finder with the true distance to an object you are shooting at or you will be out of arrows soon. I have never shot it but from what peeps say it is by far the funnest 3D shoot that is in the west!! Outside of Redding California

I spoke with the Lee Kay Shooting center today, and it sounds like they could accommodate us well. They have a pavilion to bbq, archery range, pistol range, rifle range.

The entrance fee is 4.00 and that gives you the whole day to all 3 ranges. I will try and stop by sometime when in SLC to get a lay of the land and see if it will really work.

If any of you have been there, can you provide feedback?

Here is something I made and works with two bows and you can store you arrows on the end, if you get fancy put come can holders on it for water or other beverage.
Was cheap made mine from leftover wood laying around.

So are we on to this or what? I'm getting her dialed in and ready to rally a shoot.

I'll ping Jed

Just got my Bow back from a recent tune. Ready to shoot again. Have done a few shoots already. Putting together a great western Colorado Private archery hunt, Nebraska and possibly Idaho. I may hunt Elk in Utah this year.
did we decide where we were going to shoot? Sundays are most ideal for my family with the baseball schedule...

YO! Adam, Whats up?!!!

:focus:

Yo, yo! It's been a while....I've actually been super busy and it's hard for me to want to sit in front of a computer for too long. So I mostly just pop in every now and then.....lame, I know.

I am game for pretty much anywhere, but if it is on Sunday, I am out. I don't hunt or ride on Sundays. Unfortunately I have to work sometimes on Sundays. But with items like those (hunting, riding or shooting) that I can control a little easier I avoid it and spend the time with the family.

I hear you on the Sunday deal. Pretty much the only day off we have because of the busy baseball schedule. There would be a few Archers that wouldn't be able to make a Sunday as well. Hit up Jed, I believe he was coordinating something where we could grille and the kids could also shoot the course.

Jed, what days were you able to get with this option?
