SnoWest 2017 Deep Powder Challenge (Full Article)

I rode an Axys for a day.
I don't see the Hype. It takes way more energy than the cat to ride!
As far as handling goes, Axys is at the very bottom of my list by a far margin.

Mountain Cat!

Similar track lengths compared between Doo and Poo, but not similar ski widths. Put a 36" wide front end on the Poo and it'll smoke the Doo in the handling department. I've done the comparison. Riding with your eyes on a 36" Poo is an understatement. Some day I hope Poo figures it out and at least gives the option of a 36" front end.

Hey Christopher, how much is ski doo paying you to push there products? You probably got them for free including the mpi boost for it. From now on you can leave me out of any doo or mpi thread links. Thanks

sleds

I ride a 16 cat and love it, i would own a poo very good handling sled fun to ride just not sure of reliability of the machine. as far as the doo i have a hard time on them takes lots of time to get use to it. so for me poo handles the best, cat is close to the poo, and doo not sure but harder to get on to it.:juggle:

In a lot of conditions the AXYS performs and handles much better with the 2.6 vs the 3.
No doubt this is the best doo ever!

Hell, I put 50% cash down, and FINANCED the rest through Westmark Credit Union here in Rigby Idaho.

Tell ya what though.
if you can arrange it, SIGN ME UP RIGHT NOW!! :face-icon-small-hap

I would accept a sponsorship deal like that in a freaking HEARTBEAT.

Seriously though.
Can you IMAGINE what that would be like?
That would be BEYOND SWEET..

That is the stuff of DREAMS...

Why not compare apples to apples using an le polaris a 153 cat against ski doo lightest. Very unfair comparisons other than to try and push a manufacturer product. Imo

meh...... don't read to much in the reviews guys, all the sleds are so close its the rider and the seat time..on the sled.

Years of reading these reviews has pretty much shown me that whoever makes the most changes for a given year gets the top nod. Happened with the pro, the xm, the axys, and now the Gen4. Since AC probably has the most changed between this year and next year, the ascender sleds will probably get the nod. Which will be funny since handling between those and this years should be almost identical.

The fact that the 'track' sidebar in black background doesn't mention the 3" PC tells you all you need to know (although it is mentioned in the main text body). There are a lot of things BRP and Polaris do that's a little better than AC but tracks are most certainly not one of them.

One thing is very consistent though Christopher.

Every year the Deep Snow Challenge from SW hurts some peoples feelings.

Strange eh.

That's why there is nothing better for a comparison than getting your buddies to buy the latest and greatest and letting you ride whatever they get. :D

GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ!

For the first 3/4's of your reply I wanted to be your best friend! And then you went and ruined it!:face-icon-small-hap

Just curious. Do they play Rugby in Rigby? :face-icon-small-con

I would be embarrassed to claim to be "the authority in western snowmobiling" and put on such a lame attempt to have a reputable shootout, very embarrassed indeed...

Maybe they should change that motto to "the half azzed authority in western snowmobiling" it just seems more fitting!

Off topic. Sorry.

ya know, I honestly have no idea at all...
I think they play Rigby in Rugby North Dakota. :eyebrows:
Off topic, but my daughter and I will be going through Rigby April 8th on our way to Pocatello. I will beep the horn when we go through there! :face-icon-small-hap From there Vegas. On the way back we are going through central Nevada and then staying in Stanley on the 14th.
I just love Idaho! :face-icon-small-ton
