Snowbike VS Snowmoible

The snowbike is well on is't way to becoming a new way to ride in the winter. The pros and cons are heavy on the snowbike side out west mostly because of our mtn. riding areas. I don't see flatlanders switching over to snowbikes.

I had an opportunity to ride a snobike in Cooke City Montana this week.
Here are my thoughts.

It was very easy to ride uneven terrain. I was pretty intimidated due to previous experience with 2 wheeled vehicles. But, I must say after 1 minute I was fairly comfortable on the terrain we were riding. It is very stable in the snow until you hit a slow speed. Will it replace a snowmobile, not if you like to climb and slam through creek beds and deep wholes. Sure you can switch back and make it up the hill on the bike or navigate around the deep creek beds but, there are limitations to the bike in really deep snow.

Would I like to ride one more, yes. However, I believe it will be a different style of riding, navigating through tight areas and bombing over whoops.

Here is a link to a short clip of me riding near fisher creek in Cooke
