Snow on Skyline 9/30/09

My buddy Matt and I went down muzzleloader hunting yesterday above Fairview. Ended up with about 3" of snow on top is all, but the wind blew like an SoB and it was COLD.

Still was fun riding the wheelers through the snow.

Nope. We missed an opportunity at a nice 4x4... those things are sure wiley. We saw 5 other bucks, all little ones. We saw a super nice 6x6 bull elk with 15 cows. He was bedded in a draw by a beaver pond with the cows. 320'ish bull and beautifully symetrical.

Being on the mountain is sure good for my soul.
