We stayed the night between 11&12k in clear creek near the divide night before last, about 6 inches of snow on the ground at that elevation. Hoping to get up there this week if it doesn't melt off (just to board the couloirs where snow has blown in & consolidated), there's a ton of snow left from last winter yet up here also, hope it keeps snowing!
when i dorve over berthoud pass last friday (sept 12) there was snow on the sides of the road like they had plowed it. it didnt look like there was much but it was nice to see! it looked like snow just barely made it into treeline.
Driving home to Utah, went up Loveland pass and there was snow left from last year and some new. I also saw Loveland ski area is making it now for the ski season.
None here in Utah and it is 80 degrees, why can't it just snow.
I was up in Summit County 2 weeks ago when they got that freak snow fall. Took some pics from Loveland pass. It was a good start (until it got warm again!).
No not the hunters ...they're out in the woods. I was refering to the people who drive around slow and stop in the middle of the road, blocking traffic so they can see the aspen's changing colors.
