Im running a 2012 assualt 144 and frankly the boards suck for letting the snow fall out so im looking for something better without spending a fortune. The airframes would be awesome but a bit more then im looking to spend. So has anyone had experience with the snow eliminator add on boards? And if so what were your thoughts about them?

I rode a sled with the inserts last year and was very suprised how well they worked. PM madsigntist, he can hook you up!

Also check out the Polaris Burant HD Powder Trac Boards. They are more like the new 2013 boards and can be cut in 11s + 12s For $250 I think they would be the best bang for buck. I have seen $199 + shipping online also. Part #2879091
Have fun!

The foot wells are about 1.5 inches wider on the Switchback vs the pro...you could modify the Burandt boards to fit but it won't easily bolt on.

I have the madsigntist inserts and they're the best thing I ever bought for my sled - COMPLETELY solve the problem without having to go with high dollar tubular designs. I'm on a tight budget and am very thankful for them!

Have FUN!

I have Snow Eliminators on my 09 Assault and LOVE them! Super strong, no snow build up, and they are really grippy. Anything is better than the stock boards.

I used Snow Eliminators on my 08 Dragon, they worked well, but the raised cleats went right to the front of the insert. This really tightened up the toe hold area, was quite dangerous, got foot stuck on there a few times. Went to Better Boards on the new sled because they don't have the cleats right to the front.

Ran them on my 05 900 RMK and currently run them on my wife's 2011 600 RMK. Ordered two more pairs for my two Trail RMK's that my two oldest son's ride. They are that good and for under $150.00 shipped at SLP, they are well worth the money.

Anyone try Feethookers*. Aluminum insert. $180 cdn. Trim some of the factory metal and rivet over top.

Btw everyone this is for the lame running boards on the switchback assault 144..
Anyone got pics? Im a hair away from buying a left over 2012 sb assault and id like to upgrade aswell.

Here's one picture if it works...I'll sit down tomorrow at the lap top and put up some more.

Bryan.

BMfab- what would you say is the main difference between yours boards and Airframes? I tried calling your shop twice today with no one answered. I think they look nice and clean. I have a 2012 switchback assault.

A different tube layout is the obvious one. Ours also use a thicker tubing on the inner and cross tubes which make them a bit stiffer and less prone to stripping the traction screws out. We make these for the Pro and the Switchback chassis now as well. Sorry about not answering the phone today I was working in a spot with no reception and I never saw a missed call. Ill be out in the open tomorrow feel free to call me again.
