Snow dumping at I90 snowparks

I watched on the news last night that crews will be removing snow from areas on I90 and placing it in the nearby snowparks. This should really help out on parking!

Hey didn't you know it was a 2 step process… It's like changing the oil in your truck. First you drain it onto your shop floor. After that your mop it up to place it into the proper receptacle. Makes sense to me.?.?.?:confused:

Why not dump it down the boat launch that no one can use. Heck then it's already in the lake. Oh yea, the 2 step deal.

They will tell you it's due to the chemicals that they can't put it in the lake...all the while knowing when the stuff melts in the snoparks that's where it winds up anyway...

You know, enviro's don't appreciate your kind. Always pointing out the obvious, making waves with useless facts. What's WRONG with you? Get with the program. :rolleyes:

Hypocrisy works dammit...! :face-icon-small-hap

PS to MOB

Thanks for puttin' away the lighters and gas. I'd have had a hard time explaining to the missy why we was homeless...;)

Are they able to truck this snow into the snowparks in it's liquid form?? Looks to be pretty warm in the foreseeable future, maybe they can take the $$ they will not be spending on plowing for the next 2 weeks and use a little time clearing the sno-parks. :beer;

Dump it in the wide spot down from Hyak and blow it onto the stumps. The flying through the air will purify the chemicals. Besides it's non-toxic. (Except for all your wire connections on your truck and paint finish)

It is all the rock salt--Not the chemicals.

They are afraid what will grow in the lake if it becomes SALTWATER!!

I think as usual--the state is a bunch of idiots:mad: Anything new:confused:

GC was cleared sunday afternoon.

magnesium chloride isn't rock salt homeboy...rock salt = sodium chloride

each is a chemical compound...:beer;

So true Homeboy's---But they use 4 times the rock salt as to your magnesium chloride which also has a anti corrosive additive in it as well--so even more chemicals.

But it is all about making the lakes up there saltwter for more bouancy for our water supply, light water??---plus doesnt that work as a water softner??

On the drive over the pass yesterday, the had closed the chain off area immediatly eas to Hyak and were dumping truckloads of snow here (ostensibly for the aforementioned snowblowing into the lake). I wonder if someone has taken to calling this area a 'snow-park'...
