The Klim bibs are 4 or 5 years old now. They leak a bit in the seat now. The rest of the bibs are still holding up pretty good - couple little tears around the knee and shin area.

Do folks have any luck with the goretex wash and treatment stuff? Or is there a point of no return on this bib?

I've heard ReviveX works wonders on goretex. I need to do that with my jacket.

The Revivex only makes the DWR (Durable water repellency (there words)) new. This is what causes the water to bead on the outer surface. This is not the goretex membrane, but what goes on the outside of it. The membrane is in the middle between the outer layer and the inner mesh layer (on 3 layer goretex). I have used revivex before and it does work, it makes the water bead on the surface, but if the goretex layer is broken down, than you will still get wet.

gore - tex how it works

I would call up Klim and see what they can do for you.
