Sly Dog Skis?

I am thinking of putting a set of sly dog skis on my 13 pro and am curious what experience people have had with them. Weight, pushing on trails, flotation in deep powder, sidehilling? I used to run simmons but they are pretty heavy compared to the stock skis and from a vanity perspective I like being able to color match my sled. Thoughts?

Slydog skis push pretty bad on the trails, even with the longest carbides. They do well in the deep, but so do most skis. Did not see a real difference from the stockers. Mine were the 7". I've also ridden a pro with the 10". Same as the 7" IMO.

I am a big fan of Slydogs. I have run the 7" and the 8" on my IQ RMK. I like the 8" better. They have a stiffer tip on them which inspires more confidence than the 7".

Some say the push. I feel that it is more they feel really light as far as steering effort. I run 7.5" shaper bars on mine and can rail through the trails.

Slydog Powder Hounds are great skis. I've had them on several sleds, including an 8" set on my Pro briefly last spring. They float very well off trail and with set up and carbides work very well on trail.

And I agree with above -- they are not so much pushing as steering easy.

The 8" are very good skis I found them to work well in all areas, especially in deep pow, I will be running them on my 13. I have also used the 7"... not a fan.

I had 7 inch slydogs on my 06 m7. They float really nice in deep powder and have alot of flex to them, but as soon as i got on the trail or rode in hard packed snow i absolutely hated them, they dont handle/turn very well on hard packed snow. However i have heard the new 8 inch wide ones are a little better. SLP Powder Pros still gets my vote.

As far as turning on hardpack you need to run the 7.5" stud boy shaper bars not the little whimpy 4" round bar that comes standard. On my site you can upgrade and get the stud boys with the skis intead of the standard ones.

Thanks for the orders guys.

Again for hard pack upgrade your carbide for powder standard should be fine.
