SLP Twins Jetting

So I have been having the dreaded powder bog. Just dropped down to 400 PTO 410 MAG. Also dropped down the pilot jet to a 45, and removed the SLP provided shim from under the clip, clip is in middle position. I ride from about 8k-10k, temps usually around 20 Fahrenheit.

With my previous jetting my EGT's would run about 800-1000 in the mid range. At WOT only after a very very long pull they would hit 1250. Plugs looked good but a little dark after those pulls. Still bogging very badly in deeper snow. I really don't trail ride much so I am rarely ever holding at 1/2 throttle. But when I have, EGT's have never spiked above 1050.

What are others running(clip position(with/without shim??), main jets, pilot jets) at the same altitude with SLP twins? I also have Black Magic heads(pump gas insert), snorkel from speedo hole, shelf removed, bored carbs, SLP can, vforce 3 reeds. I'm going to go with a front dump system, but want to get my jetting spot on before I have it installed. Thanks.

you may be able to go leaner at that altitude. Choke your pipes down a little.
Use some 3/8 inch bolts with washers in the stingers. remove a washer to choke it down add one to loosen it up. It works at high altitude. Try a holtzman variflow. Saw one in the swapmeet and on ebay.
