Jeremy great info but just one question....the Redline racing oil is $66.95 a gallon, granted the best oil but at a cost of over $1 a gallon added to the price of the fuel. I've always run the Redline 2 cycle with good results and at a lower price point. Now Polaris has an improved VES+!
Are there tests published to show the relative benefit of each oil? Like the temperature that the oil loses lubricity? A better oil might have saved some 08/09 engines but is it overkill now to use the best (& most expensive) oil available on stock sleds or even those with the SLP single?

Thank you SLP for providing great information and products for our sleds!!! All of my SLP products have been of great quality and work as advertised, thanks.

Very good point about the towing of sleds without covers regardless of road and weather conditions. Good Info.

Great info!! :thumb:
I was on the lake at sea level this morning breaking in the new motor. I was using the SLP PC V map. I don't run an SLP single, but it worked absolutely amazing. 6" of snow on the lake and could lift the skis. Exhaust valves were capped off and the sled has never felt so snappy. I don't even have my clutching dialed in yet. Just wanted to say thanks to SLP for the hard work and giving us the means to make these sleds run right.

doing good on iridiums

whats everyones take on the iridium plugs that slp says to run, on the fence about them right now, to try them or not, thanks

I have logged 300 miles with the iridiums these last few day. 9$ a piece but if they are as good as they say, you'll only need to buy them once or twice a season!

Question for SLP:

I have the stage IV kit on my 2009 D8.... P&P, reeds, SLP single w/ HPS Can.. and what not.... It has the SLP Flash and wires are unplugged as directed by the sticker.

Does SLP have a map for this stage IV kit to be used with a Power Commander V?

RUnning down the trail for long periods of time I am finding what appears to be the mid range stumble.... Sled rips in deep snow just doesn't like trail riding too much...

Currently no PC V on it, but I have one at home I could throw on there if SLP has a map for it, to see if it gets rid of the stumble issue.

Like I said, only stumbles trail riding.

Great Article

Thanks for the really great article on the 800 cfi
