slp rail extensions not long enough

After installing my alp rail extension I proceded to tighten the track but bottomedout before the track was tight. I was under the impression I could use my stock wheels but doesn't look like it. Maybe ill look up the number on the track to make sure it is really a 159.

Looked up the number when I got home from work and sure enough the track is actuallya 162. Does anyone know if 9 inch idler wheels would make up the difference. I currently have the 6 inch wheels.

Just using a bigger wheel isn't right. The diameter will hang too far below the rail and the extra impact will take out the wheel bearings. However I had a similar problem using 159 rails with a 166 track. I found the biggest set of wheels at the time with the associated offset kit and mounted the kit backwards. Worked like a charm. I used a 9 5/8 wheel kit from ratsled.

Tipped up rails don't make a bigger wheel any less susceptible of impact.
Hope your eight inches are enough good luck
