Running a set on a Polaris Edge sled, in spring conditions last year, they were very squirly, if you hit a few dips in a row they would swerve you around an nearly roll the sled - is there some problem or is that typical of SLP powder Pros?
Never experienced that on mine when I owned an Edge RMK and Pro-X2 that I installed the PP's on. Both didn't have swaybars but had the good clicker shocks on them. Crank down your springs or up, don't remember. But I think I ran with lowest spring settings on the skis, PP's handled and steer easily and went where I pointed them.
Check your toe in/out on your ski's.
We have run those ski's on the last 2 sleds we had and never experienced that.
May also try running them in the other position.
If you have them in the back hole, move em to the forward hole or vice versa.
The carbide is key. Run the 6 1/4" by 90 degree carbides. These are the best for our Cascade Concrete. Check your ski alignment. These are more aggressive than stock and will amplify bad ski adjustment.
This is the exact thing the Carl's Cycle cut fixes. It is typical on Edge sleds with the standard powder pros... I would experience regularly. Carl's sent me a set of bottoms with the cut on them and I switched them on and haven't had the issue since (last 2 years of riding).
I know they are a great ski, but I absolutely hated them on my edge RMK. Turned a perfect handling sled into a total pig. They required more suspension setup than I was willing to do. Seemed like the sled was always trying to do the opposite of what you wanted it to do. I know many people really like these on different sleds. I'm sure chassis and suspension plays a huge role in how much you get out of these skis.
