Getting a set for the M1100T from a company I found through here. Damn good price. Anyway, you have a choice of 4" 75 degree, 6-1/4" 90 degree or 9-1/2" 90 degree. Mine darts horribly on the trail, but I really only ride trails to get to backcountry areas.

Which carbide would be a good choice for decent trail manners but mostly deep powder riding? Thanks.

I think the 4" is fine

I run no carbides, just steel runners on my Powder Pros. Its a lot easier on the concrete floor and trailer decks.

You will only notice the carbides on super hard icy conditions. I try to avoid riding a snowmobile in the mountains under those conditions.

Just put PPs with the 4" carbides on my PC 800 and rode them yesterday. Experienced no darting whatsoever on pretty wooped out trails getting to the pow. Given the higher weight/ski pressure of the 1100 I can't imagine it would be any different.

For what its worth the powder was just awesome yesterday and I couldn't be happier with the skis. Huge improvement over the stock toothpicks in every way, especially in the powder and waaaay better on the trail.

A darty sled on the trail is a ski alignment and/or a rear skid set-up issue.

Check your tow out and alignment on the ski's and where your limiter strap is on the front skid.

Will do. I still want some better skis for the powder. Damn stock toothpick are not enough ski.

What is the optimal position for the limter strap? I am also getting some trenching in the powder.

Not true. my 1100t darted bad with stock crappy skis. Tried a bunch of different changes. Some changes helped a bit. Put slydog skis on and no more darting.

I have no time on my Turbo, but on my 1000, center hole on limiter strap and 1 to 2 turns of tension on the shock spring gave me the best of both worlds.

There is no reason to run carbides unless you are ridding lakes or rivers (ice), otherwise they just catch on rocks, stumps, trailer ramps or anything else that can bend an A-arm or break your wrist. Just get the hard weld wear bars,

I only have two rides, and really only one in powder. I think I am running too much psi in the front shocks to start. I haven't even messed with the rear suspension yet. I will play with it tomorrow. Usually, on a better snow year, I have 90 acres across the street from my house to tune on that is usually 5-6 ft of powder right now. I have more sage brush than snow at the moment.

I know you and I are not the only ones experiencing darting on the M1100T. Someone else mentioned it too on their M1100T. I had a suspicion that is was a combination of skis and setup. Damn thing was hard to ride on the trails. Extremely fast, but almost out of control. Lay it into a corner though and it tracked like on rails. I love it, but it is quirky and different than anything I have ever ridden.

Well, trail manners or not, it needs more ski in the powder. Hopefullty the SLP's will help on the trail too.

I think you are going to find that your limiter strap is all the way out.

I agree. Probably why I was trenching too. Some of the trenching might have simply been power. You start up a hill at half throttle and then throw the hammer down, the track just kights up. The mid range boost is amazing. I think I will over come some of the quirks with simply having more seat time.

Like you, I came from a modified M1000. I had NOS, but even when I hit the button, it was nothing like the mid range torque the M1100T has. It has very little in common with my M1000.

I will check the rear shock PSI, spring setting and limiter strap tomorrow. Might go for a ride on Wed and see if I can tune a little more.
