SLP Pipe

the hc5 springs are speedworx springs hc5 alloy has a lot better tensile strength than steel and not quite as good as titanium. springs won't heat soak nearly as fast as standard steel or at all so far this year for me. and the best part is that their only about $10 more a spring than the standard steel springs, def. worth the extra $10. we run 64 gram belly busters for 6-8000 feet and its been working great pulling 8250-8300 all day long

My buddy has the SLP pipe with the PC5 and reeds on his 2011. I have the PA head and HPS can. We both run 10-64 weights with the same track. The machines are pretty much a wash when it comes to climbing and racing. The only advantage between the two setups is mine was 1200 bucks cheaper. Sorry, but that is the truth.

How is it $1200 cheaper when the whole SLP kit minus the reeds is right at $1000? I want to know where you got the PA head kit so I can get one :face-icon-small-win

would the PA Head and HPS Can do the same thing

they PA head raises compression, same idea as the slp head so as long as you run 6000+ft elevation their great, and work considerably well, anything lower you will have to run some race gas. also need to take into consideration that with a head any hopes and dreams of a continued engine warranty are out the window.

putting together a slp stage 4 kit today, hopefully going to go run it tomorrow if not next week sometime and compare it to one with just the pipe clutching and pc5 and see how big of an on the snow difference their really is

Under 6000' you can run the 12.5 no race gas and they will still run as well or better as stock above 6000'

"Worth it" is a question to be answered by your pocket book. I have always felt like any mod was worth the money no matter how marginal the gain as long as there is gain. Slp does a great job with their pipe sets. Good quality and consistency for the masses. The gain over stock is not as big as it used to be so "worth it" is definately changing.
Nowdays you can have bolt-on pump gas turbo setup for 4 grand that will stomp anything n/a, so it almost seems ridiculous to blow your cash on a few sled lengths. However, if I was not going to do a turbo, I would probably be running SLP stuff.

What comes in the slp stage 2 kit? Pipe, programmer, reeds, intake, clutching. What is that kit worth? This is what my buddy is running and like I said, so close in performance to the head and can. Now add a head to that kit and Im sure there will be no comparasin.

for me I ride anywhere from 2000 - 9000 feet, so changing my head is a little difficult. I don't want to have to worry about changing fuel types for different elevations or having to worry about possibly having runability issues.
