SLP Pipe

Anxious to hear the results. I've been wondering not only if it's worth the money, but also weather or not if it's worth voiding the warranty if you get caught with it in :face-icon-small-dis

I hear ya
I wanted a solid sled while under warranty
When mine is up and there is more testing id like to pick up the full kit w PC5

I'm running the full slp setup with the pc5, have around 100 miles with it so far on my 2011. You can definatly notice the power increase, sled pulls way harder I thought. Really woke the sled up. Held Rpms good, I would say it's worth the money. if you have any questions let me know

Have you ridden it next to a stock sled and done any comparisons as far as drags, climbing, etc? Sled lengths?

I know a guy that had a stock sled, sled with PA head otherwise stock and then sled with pipe and commander only. PA head gave 2-3 lengths over stock, but pipe w commander gave 2-3 lengths over PA head. This was at 9000'. I just put the head on as I think my shop will warranty that and cost was right. Good luck

at sea level, HELL YA its worth it. i wasn't expecting much from the pipe but i got a good (relatively) deal on it as a basically brand new take off, and was really impressed with the results. much more noticeable on the pro than on my good running 09 d8.

Got the total Stage III kit on my Pro for this season. Last season I ran the pipe, reeds, and PC5. Felt very noticible but I was still tuning the clutches at the end of the season. Not much snow up here right now but I'll be out on Saturday with the whole Famn Damily so I might get some full pulls. I added 1g of weight to the MTX weights and didn't test at the end of season since I was hitting 8250 regularly and I would like closer to 8100 or 8150. Added the Head and new map in October so I might need more weight....again. I'll post if anything awesome happens with installing the head.

i have installed the slp pipe set, pc5 and clutching on 13 sleds so far this year including my own. and it is a big difference from stock. i would say it is definitely worth the money. Not a big fan of slp's clutching, but with carl's helix a couple hc5 springs and heavier weights it wakes the motor up

What's the info on the hc5 springs?

We had the Power Commander 3 with the SLP pipe, can, and air horn on an 09 Dragon 155". Huge difference between that one and the stock one we had.
As good as it was it doesn't come close to the stock PRO RMK 155"

My buddy has the SLP pipe with the PC5 and reeds on his 2011. I have the PA head and HPS can. We both run 10-64 weights with the same track. The machines are pretty much a wash when it comes to climbing and racing. The only advantage between the two setups is mine was 1200 bucks cheaper. Sorry, but that is the truth.

would the PA Head and HPS Can do the same thing

put about 50 miles on today with the slp pipe, pcv, v-force 3 reeds and air intake. Also running the recommended slp clutching with one delrin washer in the secondary. This sled rips. Never missed a beat all day. no bog, studder or misses. sled will pull 8150 rpm all day. Pipe has a nice tone. Could be a little louder for my liking but I will live with it. This setup definately woke the sled up and is worth every penny.

a friend of mine did the stage two slp kit and it did'nt seem worth the money then he stepped up to stage three and oh yeah ! so that tells me along with many others posts that the head is the key so

thinner bank roll = pa head and maybe can
bigger roll = stage three or four slp

and then ride the heck out of it:face-icon-small-hap
