SLP pipe, EGT resistor for Polaris? What nrs?

I need to disconnect the EGT sensor from my Switchback Assault 800 -11
and replace it with a resistor.

Does anyone know what resistance SLP used for their 800 pipe?
Or what temperature it told the ECU?

Sorry, I can't remember off the top of my head but if you have more time than me, search my posts for resistor and you should find your answer.

Thanks milehighassassin
Found your post and the info from mountainhorse.

8k-10k ohm resistor.

It works good for me with a resistor that shows 317 degrees in DigitalWrench.
But I will try some more and see if there is another temp that give more power!

You can trick the ecu into thinking the pipe sensor works by cutting the wires and on the electrical end, wire in a 8k-10k ohm resistor.

I did that, shrink wrapped the connection and then just left my old dead temp sensor in the pipe.

With the flashing light and dead sensor, timing is retarded while the ecu/motor try to create more heat to warm up the pipe.

There should be no ill effects of kidding the sensor, just try and make sure the motor is warmed up properly before hard pulls and with any mod you do it at your own risk.
