Slp or epi clutch kit 2006 SB 900

I'm new to this site and to the sled(just bought it in June). The sled has a can on it other than that it's stock. I did some research and I bought a fire n ice air box and I am purchasing some side cover vents (moflow). Now getting to the point I told my self I wasn't going to mod this sled but recently decided I want a mild clutch kit what do you guys think would be the best setup for me? I want something that's not to harsh I do mainly trail riding little off trail and some ice. I live in MI. Any help would be appreciative

Thanks,
Joe

I'd stay away from EPI as when they sell there kit they scratch off the part #'s and angles/weights so you really do not know what you are using. So if you aren't happy with it and need to go a bit steeper/shallower angle or lighter/heavier weight then you do not know which parts you would need to change to. Also most with epi say little or no gain was achieved.

There is a lot of threads on this topic in this 900 forum SEARCH is your friend. Helped me out a lot. Can be found up top in the black bar. Go advanced search and can search only one forum select 900 forum. Also on top of this 900 forum there is some how to stickies and useful links will get you on the right track.

well said...!

EPI doesnt tell you what the specs are on thier kits, and wont tell you if you ask them, those kits on eBay are temping, but the springs break regularly, and theres little to no performance gain. call slp or dyno port and tell them how and where you ride and they will be more than happy to fix you up with a good clutch kit!

read the stickies!! be careful alot of the info pertains to mountain riding. but alot of the info here can be adapted for flat landers!

dont delete your front rad... do the re-route mod!!

and dis regard any thread about changing your chassis relay with a unit from napa.... you WILL fry your $480 ecu!
