SLP O8 Head

I usually stay out of this neck of the woods but rode my buddies 07 yesterday ( has an 08 motor, broke his 07 crank at 850) with the slp high elevation head on it and I was super impressed. To anyone that is thinking about doing this stop thinking and throw down the coin. Night and day dif. on his sled. Standing up front it would pack the skis about a foot off the ground all the way till you let off the flipper. If you were on the back of the rails it was tail stands as long as you wanted to hold on. Climbed alot better than before. If you want a smile on your face buy one of these I just wish I could add that kind of performance to my poo with just a head!

The brother of the owner of the sled I rode has an 07 motor in an 07 x that has the slp y-pipe and high elevation slp head with a 151 and it hangs with and sometimes beats a 06 with full slp kit and a 162 on it. I have rode the X for a weekend when my dragon was down and it was incredible.

After getting a new 08 motor in my 07 XRS I did the SLP kit with V-Force reeds. I am still runnig fat on jets now but man will it goooooooooo. I can only imagine how great its going to pull when its dialed in. Absolutely great kit, I would recommend it to any 800R owners it it well well worth the money if your looking for an upgrade. The throttle response is amazing and as for the tail standing it is sweeeeeet. The install was quick and easy, well with the exception of cutting the airbox and side pannel, that was kind of a pain.

I lost my motor on my 07 Presidents day this year. They warrantied with an 08 Motor. I already had V force reeds and a SLP Can. I added the y-pipe and the heads fromk slp. It was the best money I have spent. That 07 motor wakes up !!!!!!. The only probem is it is hard to ride with a boner. The first ride out I let some of my friends try it out... Both of them put the kit on their 07 Revs. It made that much of a difference. Today we were drag racing up a hill in Soda Springs. It is about a 150 yard pull. Smoked an XP by 4 to five sled lengths. It is running so good I am keeping it and not snow checking an 09. If you have the money call Dustin at SLP and get your SLP kit coming.!!!!!You will not be disapointed. SLP claims it hits at 172 HP. I do believe them

i rode both T/A's and VE's sleds and yes VE's is stronger. both go really good but VE's is an animal. makes my m7 look like a kitty kat.

My buddy did the heads without the y-pipe. He did have the can, but no reeds. His sled still rips. Definately runs stronger than stock. Not as good as the whole kit . But worth the money

what went wrong with the dragon?

Rings and pistons at 750, dealer wasn't sure what caused it, low compression in the pto side, everything was warrantied. It put a huge foot in my mouth after giving all my doo buddies crap that were going through engines in the first 500 miles, i wouldn't have taken his out for 2 days but............ we had over 5 feet of fluff in the mtns and figured it was better to swallow my pride and ride

I just want to add in that We have added the hole SLP kit for our 07. All I can say is WOW, we also have two well running XPs with cans on them and the 07 kills both of them anywhere! The 07 is the one that is always on top when the others are struggling.

Is VE running the stock exhaust can or aftermarket? Also do you have to increase the main jet size? Thanks for any info.

It is head and domes,y-pipe,air box mod ( neither of the ones I rode had done this) Vforce reeds.And it uses the stock pipe.

Neither sled in of the 2 in our group uses the slp can, they use the hps since its lighter, one has the y pipe and the other dosen't hopefully we will get both of them out side by side this weekend to see if the ypipe makes a difference.
