slp exhaust and power comander

id like to put a slp pipe, can and y pipe, on my 09 d8 with the slp clutching and vents, and im wondering if i should or shouldnt get a power comander, does it make that much of a diff, what are some of your thoughts?

09 D8

You definately need a PC on it. It improves the stocker and it is a must with a pipe. I have SLP single on mine with a PC and their map. They no longer support the PC 3 so if you find a used one you will need to run down a map. I think others are still supporting the 3. If you go with a PC V then SLP has maps.
The SLP map fattens up the midrange and leans out the top end. That funny gurgle will be gone with the PC. This combination will also help in making the motor live.

For just the exhaust a power commander is not needed but is recommended for more power.

Experience an additional 6.2 horsepower and a weight loss of 10 lbs. With this Stage 2 Kit from SLP. This kit features a single pipe set, that includes a y-pipe and silencer, a High Flow™ Intake Kit for maximum airflow and a clutch kit to get the horsepower to the ground. No ECU modification is required for this stage.

For even better performance use the Power Commander V in conjunction with the Stage 2 Kit
