Noticed my SLP can has a four inch crack on the top surface. Was thinking of going to a sno-stuff. The slp can is also chaffing on my coolant hose. I could fix the slp but was wondering if there was a better option. Just looking for ideas. Thanks!
Get rid of the SLP can. First time I found 4 cracks in my SLP can, I got out the mig welder and repaired it. Next time, two months later, I found two more cracks so I pulled it off and installed my "Thing" can behind my SLP pipe. Best move I ever did. Sled pulled harder and I've never had issues with the "Thing".
CPI Can works great. I had four SLP cans crack with less than 300 miles on them. SLP replaced the first two, After that I switched to the CPI and have never had a problem with it. I think you would have to weld in some braces on the SLP can to make it hold up on the 900.
I just found some beautiful pictures of my first SLP Can after two rides. SLP sent me a new one to replace it. They were really good about it though they let me send them photos and then sent it out right away instead of having to wait till they got mine back so they could inspect it.
Just Found SLP number two. We think that after this one cracked air coming in caused it to catch fire inside, take a close look at the color of the ceramic coating. They replaced this too.
