SLP Can any louder with Y,pipe and reeds? Anyone?

So I got the SLP can on my 08 XP, I do like the performance and weight saving aspects of the can, BUT it doesn't have that "I've got this thing piped sound to it". Its not what I'd expected it to sound like before I bought it.
I'm going to buy the full pipe including the Y as well as V force reeds in the next week or so.
Now, I don't think that I would sell the SLP can if it doesn't change after these upgrades, but I had been wondering if it will?

Does anybody know for sure, or has any input go ahead your $.02 is needed.

slp advocates quieter exhausts with performance gains, if you want loud u wanna go with somebody other than slp...like cpi or skinz...but with the pipe and y pipe it will be louder, but not really what im guessing that you are looking for

I wouldn't think so

I beleive that the SLP can lowered proformance from the stock suit case. Reeds aint going to make sled louder or the Y pipe for that matter that big stock pipe is tuned for the 800. Just be very gentle in what you do regarding the exhaust on a skidoo motor they have been realy tuning those stock pipes and cans to the torque range of these new 800's the range is very small.
I think the only one can tested showed an increase in HP and that was only 1hp of improvement however all others showed a decrease in Hp. I think it was HPS. It's Loud enough but not as loud they were back in 03

My quess is yes it will be louder. I put a super Q can on my xp and some sound diff. I put the slp y pipe, pipe, w/ super Q can. The sled sounds sick now. I would say do it. If you really want to complete your sled do the slp head too

NO. I have the SLP exhaust setup and it is not louder with the y-pipe and single. If you want a better sound, get an HPS can. You actually get some performance out of it. It is not too loud at the start but once you hit 6600rpm it really starts to scream! Plus it is about 3 pounds lighter than the SLP can.

The stock pipe has an internal stinger that makes ANY silencer quieter than it will be without the internal stinger....like a SLP pipe. A buddy runs SLP pipe/HPS silencer and it sounds good without be obnoxious.

I have an SLP Single pipe, Y-Pipe and Vforce reeds. Can makes the difference. I have some friends with SLP cans. Not as loud as mine. The HPS has a good sound to it, especially when you get into it!!!

My 09 800 has all the SLP goodies, not much louder than stock. My 2 cents
