SLP 800 performance kit

Any one running one of these kits at elevation? 8500 plus ft. If so, how's it working? Running single or twin pipes? :D

I am running a very similar setup to the SLP perf package. I have Twin pipes, Vforce reeds, big air kit and Carl's mild head mod. I've heard that porting an 800 doesn't do much because they are pretty thin walled to begin with so I didn't port it. Anyway, I am running the SLP blue/pink primary spring, stock sec spring, 58/40 helix and 10-60's until my premix tank is gone. We rode from 6200 ft to 9000 last saturday in "wet powder." It ripped on the trail and packed the skis on the slopes at 8200 rpms. I cant wait until a couple hundred more miles when she really breaks loose. I would recommend talking with the guys at Carl's. This setup really seems to work(finally after a season of horror due to the pre-recall BS)

I am running an slp set up, single pipe, air box, head, and pcIII. I unload at 10,500 and am very impressed with how my sled runs. Very strong! almost as strong as my buddies ski doo xp with an 880 big bore

Call up carls cycle and talk to Chris about there porting. A few guys have there setup on here some run twins some run singles all seem to be happy. Carls will use slp pipes wether you go with the single or twins.

I'm running a slp's perf pkge kit on my 08 800 163 single pipe running 3000-6000 . On the second season now ( no problems so far )

Yes it works good have beaten every turbo pump gas 800 in the steep and deep. (so far)
Will run with a xp 860 .

For sure IMO Carl's is one of the best, Chris is an outstanding part of the team at Carl's, along with Tom, Shane, and Curtis which they all worked with me on my 09 D8 that has a BB in it. Chris has great custumer relations goes the extra mile, as they all do. I would give them a call.

Both of my sled run very well and will hang with the best of them. I have
SLP single, big air and clutching, on both the 08 and the 09. Carbon tech. reeds don't go with the v-force won't hold up in the new motors, 500 miles the peddles will be gone. With the performace pkg. giving more suck most likely even less than 500.

Have seen a few sleds this yr. that have carl's work done, with singles and twins (all SLP) and they all give you a smile on your face when you grab a hand full to go pull a hill.
The one nice thing that carl's gives to us is a wide range of options for your sled, all depends on how much you want to spend.

Really? What is your suspension set-up? Clutching? My friend had a 900 performance package on his and it wouldn't even touch his BD Turbo 800 now. I guess it isn't always about horsepower, but the turbo's are running at least 30 more hp than the performance package set-up.
