slow boost?

could my wastegat rod be out of adjustment? Is there a preload setting?
I will look for leaks too thanks

You might check there first, as it is an easy visual inspection. The rod should hold the gate shut firmly, by about 1/8th of an inch. That means you should have to pull the rod out of the actuator about 1/8th of an inch to slip it over the wastegate lever.

ok thanks, yah the rod is out of adjustment had to turn it in 1/4 inch i am out the door to try it hopefully i have good news

ok tested sled out it is alot better now thanks for your insight very appreiated, One more thing out of the hole it shoots up to 15 really fast then it slowly pulls to 17 psi is this normal or should it hit 17 out of the hole and stay there? max boost is set to 17 psi

I had the same problem and adjusted the wastegate arm, working much better now.

I have only had mine up to 14 lbs..... You must be running bigger injectors and more fuel delivery.. If everything is in proper adjustment and not leaking boost anywhere you should see your max boost right away.

yep, i am running bigger injectors and a 3bar map. You say to adjust the rod 1/8 preload i adjusted it 1/4 is that to far? would that make the differents?

I think if you over adjust the rod it will just raise the least amount of boost you can dial it down to.

i think you are right, When i had the intercooler out to get welded. i noticed it had a threaded hole 1/4 in the plate that the blow off valve is bolted too. There was nothing in the hole like a plug is it sopost to be like that? if not that would be a boost leak ............ Powderlites turbo nytro intercooler
