Well If Skidooin_it is gonna leave everybody hangin', i guess ill get some pictures up of the mysterious tube sled everybodys been wanting to see.
Here is a bit of the story behind it:
1. I bought a 06 rev 800 with a totaled tunnel
2. Decided to go for it and bought a TIG welder and built a tube tunnel for it
3. worked awesome untill i bent the front of the skidoo up and decided to build a front end for it the next summer
4. Rode the crap out of it that winter and found a few weak links mainly with the rev design i had copied
5. Decided to build a whole Chassis from scratch, no coping, full on new design.

This brings the story up to current. This is what im riding
Full Chromoly Tube chassis, custom built and designed by Nick(skidooin_it) and I
-Timbersled Rear suspention Fox Evols, 162 Camo X fully Clipped and ported
-CMX belt drive to replace the chain case

-Polaris 800 '08 CFI 4 W/new crank, cylinders, Weisco pistons, Stock 2010 Head
-Garrett 3071 4" inlet, Tail Exhaust housing W/ external gate
-Custom 3" Rams-horn intake
-Polaris gripper skies

There has been Quite a bit updated since the Photos. The tial was not shown Installed with its SS tubing and other small stuff but you get the idea. The sled weights
Dry With turbo system 410
guessing dry with out turbo system and custom muffler it weghts 390

this thread is now worthless without video!

I know one of you guys has a camcorder!

sled looks awesome!

So you guys ready to build another chassis? F7 w/ chassis falling apart. Already has a turbo and CMX belt drive. Curious how much it would cost. Pipe configuration may not allow the same steering. Let me know.

THanks for getting these up Josh, as little overdue, but oh well.

haha they have DEFINATLY been on the snow.

i have cursed myself this year and gone through a motor, top end and 2 turbos doing one dumb thing or another. Besides my dumb self breaking turbo system parts and motors the chassis is amazing. the things you can do are really astounding, im riding mine NA at the moment until i wrangle funds for a new turbo, but it is so easy to ride it really blows my mind, with the turbo you have to relearn how to ride, they react/handle so much quicker then anything stock.

as for the laydown cat motor, the idea has been run over a LOT, and have ideas for the pipe situation.. but like anything, it will work. if i could fit an rx1 motor in there pretty easily, a laydown 700 shouldnt be an issue.

I have got video of it, but it may take me a while to get it up. What is the best way to do it? I do not have a you tube account, but I do have a photobucket.

I am getting there. If you go on YOUTUBE, and search Shockwave chassis. I have two video's up. Not sure how to post the link here yet.

Boy howdy!!!! Now that is how they all should be to some degree.. I absolutely love how the steering is set up. Is the gas tank from a pro? Nice nice nice nice nice....................... Is there a water craft triple in the future????

I think I may have found my next build! Now if nick would send me a set of blueprints for this chassis we'll be in business!

I do have 2 watercraft 1200's, one of which is in a prox chassis that may just be getting tired after its 5th season of being beatin on without missing a beat!! Plus a big block cat 1300 tripple!!

the way that sled whips through the trees a snappy light weight twin just may be the answer though!

Im really leaning toward doing this!!!!

Josh,

How many lbs of boost was it running in the vids?

Hows the "ram horn" style charge tube setup compared to an airbox? how does it respond if you whack the throttle from a dead stand still with this setup?

Thanks for the positive response. I was only running 3.3 lbs of pressure. And yes the rams horn is a great idea. Want to go bigger Like a 4" into the 3" ends.
I know in all the videos i chop it a lot. But it really does have great bottom end. I rode a stock m6 AC the other day with 500 miles on it that had way more clutch lag than mine does throttle lag. I that gives you any idea. I have one more ok video that has a lot of stand still starts on it, ill get it up today to give you an idea.

Matt,a big triple in one of these sounds insane, heck, my NA 700 is way fun as its so light, that much torque sounds like an blast to ride!

Just watching this videos makes me want to go ride again, reminded me how easy they are to ride! was out on my last ride with my dads M7 which i have always thought was a really easy sled to sidehill and i felt like i was riding a tank getting off one of these things.

got some ideas to make them even better for next year, and a bit lighter.
