Sledding In New Zealand

Anyone know of any kind of sledding that happens in New Zealand ?

I know they have a lot of skiing on the South Island, was curious about the sledding.

There is a really good thread on DooTalk that's pretty active right now about a couple guys exporting sleds to New Zealand recently. Theya re there now and updating the DooTalker's with photos occassionally.

I emailed a guy down there a few years ago. They "escort" you through a cow pasture, up a ridge to some vista and back down. No powder riding to speak of.

He saw pics of our area and said don't waste your time. LOL

I can only imagine living in NZ, having an anomaly powder day, then coming home to see pictures/videos from out west. we probably get the same conditions almost every time we go out, as NZ gets once a year...if that often at all. thanks for the info.
