kid looks good! how old is he? if he keeps at the mx he should get good, but little hint, inside line is usually faster

Nice vid, how many times a day does your son watch it? I know when I was that age I would have been watching it several times a day for a good week or 2.

It mostly depends on the corner, soil and bike/rider. On that corner, yes inside would have been faster, but many times, on a smaller bike especially, railing the outside berm will be faster b/c he will keep his speed up. He'll get the feel for what is best as he progresses.

How long has he been riding? Looks pretty good for his first year racing

He has been riding for close to 10 years. He just started riding at the local dirt bike track 2 years ago but has logged alot of time out there. This is only his second real bike.
