Loved the vid! I went to college at Michigan Tech and remember riding those areas. That is a lot of carnage for one weekend though!

And I never heard about an XP catchin fire in Hancock last year? WTH did you guys do to that thing?

That was my XP...

Official word from BRP is a failure with the y-pipe. Drove it from Mass to Houghton and about halfway we knew something was wrong. Figured we'd make it there and start taking it apart to see what was going on.

Got to the Ramada, I looked at the right side of the sled and saw a nice little flame coming out of the panel. 1 minute later after realizing there was no snow only ice around, and it was in the state seen in the video.

Called the good guys at Keewenaw Motor Sports (where the sled came from), and they picked it up. The sled had 400 miles on it. Working with Marty at KMS and BRP, I was able to work everything out and picked up my new sled last weekend.

XP X 146" (no pictures yet).

Great editing Timner! That was quite the way to end the season!

Also went to MTU back in the day.
Snowmobiled & 4x4ed the heck out of that area.
Terrain has not changed but the sleds have, I used a Indy Classic 500.
Is Dan's still there past the mall a few miles?

I went to NMU and used to ride the Big Bay/MT.Arvon/Wolf creeek area often. Love to see you guys riding the same type terrain, we sure had some super fun rides. They sure get the untalked about snow up there!

Dan's is still there. Bought my sled last year from them. M&M is still in town, just over the bridge and KMS moved in town too.

Sure hope the LES bombs keep dropping.

No. RMK was one day. XP pre-fire was the following day and fire was a couple weekends after that. No more footage to go with the fire though. We were on our way to find some play spots when it happened.

Really looks worse than it was. Except for the fire all the damage was minimal.

We patched up the front end on the RMK and finished the day out.

Awesome video! Last year we started out in twin lakes on the trail and darted off on the east/west powerline half way to mass city. The further we went the less and less tracks there were Found some amazingly fun terrain way back in bum-***g where most had turned around before getting there. Which powerlines were you guys on?
