That is a fun area. Moffit Basin and Yamaha Hill I think is what it's called.
Here are two pictures from 07, second and third ones are on top right next to the tower.

Good to know it wasn't you! I think they might have been chasing us.....but I didn't see any signs anywhere I was to the West a couple canyons from where you would have been! It was a GREAT day on the mountain!

Sorry bro but Todd and I hit that on Sunday.........the only problem was you weren't going to "hell" because it was hella DEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!! 54 miles (22 of which were the trail ride in and out) and I ran out of gas just after going around the gate heading back to the truck.

I'm down though, I love the lakes in the Spring time! I'm trying to get an Alpine ride together. When exactly are you hitting Tahoe?

I'm no expert on this area but did explore around the whitney area this season. definitely incredible terrain - how cool would it be to own property like that!!

Maybe a map with names will help. Windy Ridge runs north-south creating the 3 bowls from Moffit Basin to Humpy Peak. Humpy Peak is where that antenna tower is you're talking about. I'm attaching my GPS tracks from that day and a few pics.
