sled wont start unless i hold throttle?

I was out riding this past weekend and my 12 assault wont start unless i hold throttle a little bit other wise it runs great. Also have to hold it for a few seconds or it wont stay idling .

I would check the TPS and go from there. If your compression is getting a little low it will also cause the same issues.

I have 2300 miles on the sled and i just checked compression in heated shop with throttle wide open and im at 120 psi both sides with three pulls so im good on compression. Is there a easy way of checking reeds? How are they to pull out?

Had the same issue with my 12. Dried out all connections and used dialectic grease, didn't fix. Adjusted TPS, didn't fix. Replaced TPS and wiring harness and was successful.

Does the motor light go off? Check the code of it by holding the break and hitting select (or mode?)

Ive never had the engine light come on but ill check all my connectors for moisture. Any idea what it costs for the dealer to replace a tps. (parts and labor) $

It sounds like your TPS is bad or needs adjusted. Usually if you are not idling like you are describing it is just an adjustment to the TPS. You can roll through the throttle and the OHMS should be smooth. If they spike the TPS is bad, if not you should be able to adjust and rip it!
