sled prices?!?!

everyday i go on craigslist for ****s and gigs but i notice when i look at like 2009 polaris assaults and dragons they are way overpriced and its not just one sled they are all overpriced they book for like 6,400 i believe and people are selling em for over 7 g's i don't understand this!

I don't know where you live but here the polaris go for the cheapest on the used market. Saw a nice 09' 800 163" for $5,000 here, well set up, 2k miles.

Yup, lots of people dumping 08-10 dragons either upgrading to pros or ditching them cuz they are more trouble than they are worth.

Yep that is typical price usually around here with 1200 miles or so ish. I dont know why sellers think they can pull 8k out of them?? I posted a dealer selling a brand new (50miles) 10 model with a 163 for 7500 and right above that a seller is asking that for one with 2k miles.

More power to them if they are getting it.

I've seen them with all the goodie's and the "Fix" kit for $5400.00. If anybody want's mine for $6500 I might even pay the shipping

I picked up last summer at 2010 D8 163" with 1,500 miles in good/clean shape for $5,500. Everyones dumping them for the pros, I just couldn't swallow spend 4 grand more for something thats just a little better.

I'm not sure where you got your book value of $6400, but according to NADA the average retail on a 2009 800 Dragon RMK 155 is $7695 and low retail is $6140. A 2009 800 Assault RMK is roughly worth about a $100 less in each category. I never use anything but NADA when looking up book value as that is the only publication the banks/credit unions will use.

I don't think the people really think there sleds are worth that much its probaly what they owe on them cause they took the year of no interest, no payments. No one should be that dumb as to think 4 year old xp, dragon, ect is worth that much. I bought mine as a hold over for less than a lot of the used sleds on craigslist.
