Sled mods/changes for next season...What're you doin?

Boring, slow summer...so...lets dialog about what sled mods or changes ya'll got in the works?


For me:

replace subframe
oilite bushings for the front-end
repair/replace oil tank


Some things under consideration:

some sorta rear-tunnel mod...
Impulse's new fuel controller setup.....hmm.....(automation for the people)

An M8 sticker to give it that sleeper look. So many azzhats out there that wouldnt figure it out. And maybe a vidal sassoon blow dryer for the exhaust..............

new front bumper
new AFR Gauge
Apex Radiator
Hot Dogger
Fresh Oil Change
Maybe new spark plugs but i doublt it

maybe fill the FLOATS.....

super-duper DD-lite with wheelie providing gears!!
with NO reverse, its not needed because I do not make mistakes...

and a Monster sticker for PJ...

Vented headlight delete to get some cool air to the intercooler and maybe a cold air intake to the turbo.

Fix the side panel I stuck my knee through on the last ride

Ceramic coating for the Exhaust and Exhaust housing on the turbo

slight mod to the Holz skid

That and general maintenance for the upcoming season.

Hopefully get a Doo Renegade 1200 and put a turbo in it, then put an XP tunnel and A-arms. Hopefully....

I got some work to do to the wifes. DD service, hyafax, balence the primary.

Mine is pretty much ready to go..........Oh I need to mount my jack and have tossed the idea around of a torsonal secondary.........

New hubs on the trailer, just got new tires

So compared to boost, and all the other goodies around................... I'm lame

two sets of M1000 pistons & a set of pistons for the turbo, for safety sake.

A new oil tank & pump for the turbo, on the house from Cutler (WAY cool)

A new power valve for my racer, Speedwerx sucks, this is the 2nd broken one in a year on the 600 mod.
A little more TI for my sled, some floats for Abby's if I can find some cheap, and other than that, ride them once each month till winter so I don't have to admit summer exists.

Motor mounts and torque stop are the big ones. Handful of little additions, putting a buzzer on teh reverse indicator, rewiring power for new GPS, etc.

a 4 stroke?... HAAHA! (in my best Nelson from the Simpsons voice)

We ALL need to start working out this summer so we can dig the thing out, that's one sled that even you won't be digging by yourself!!!

Didn't you see the post earlier that showed that 4 strokes don't float??
I'll make you the same offer I made on the bike on the XP, hell I'll even round it up to 900!!

Boys, boys....JT (you know who you are BCIL) I believe we already discussed this. The 4-stroke renegade with a 162 weighs just over 500 lbs. And that is about the same weight as your M1000. And yes Alex, I sense a little sarcasm. But that is ok because I will have the last laugh when the snow flies.

With all the welds your sled now has to hold it together I'm sure your 65 lbs is probably back! I think I just kissed it!
