Sled decks

I was a dealer for Full-Lotus. The deck worked out great for me. I sold it to a guy who then moved the legs to the longbox position it for some reason it was not stable. My guess is the pockets the legs slide into were a little stretched our something like that. The deck is heavy but def solid. I had their expandable version.

I just picked up a motomikey bobtail deck, Non expandable with 11ft 2 piece ramp. I have yet to use it but at first glance I think you are getting a lot for your money. It does not come with superclamps or superglides. It is much lighter than the Full-Lotus. The construction of the box legs seems to be very sturdy.

Marathon or Custum Sled decks both seem to be great choices. The prices of them are more expensive however you are getting more features. For me the features were not that important. The custom sled decks seem to have taken the "good" from the marathon and full lotus decks.

I will be most likely using a sled deck and towing a small travel trailer or toy hauler with a short box dodge ram 2500. If a small extension is needed then i will go with a simple

if a longer extension is needed i am thinking of something a little more beefier. Like this

I'm looking to pick up a deck next month and I'm leaning heavy toward the Silver Lake. Anyone running one of these on lifted truck? I got 04 Dodge 1500 with 6" lift and 37" Mudders. I think the ramp is 11ft, which might be kinda steep given a I used a 9.5ft ramp just to get my sled into the bed (which is still pretty steep).

stick with a trailer if you have a 1500 sold mine and got a 2500 longbed to run the deck set up. You will need to get air bags at least to cut down on the body roll and when you have two sleds and gear you will be over the mfg. rating.
