Hey I was wondering if anyone has ran a 2 place sled deck on their 2014-2018 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 5.5 box. Just looking for the right brand to go with. Also if you've had to do and mods to make it happen. Thanks

Yes it's going to be over weight.

I would add air bags you'll be fine on weight. I haul more weight than most could fathom in a half ton there tough.

This is a Silverlake. It was originally built for a 6.5' bed but was cut down for a 5'8". It looks bad but actually rides decent. There is around 40 psi in the air bags and the truck has a leveling kit.

Hey thanks!! Appreciate the reply! I have the exact same truck with a level ? You just made my mind up! Truck looks good

Ya for sure. Curious how you mounted it. Did you go to factory tie downs or did you mount right through box to the frame. Just makes me nervous trusting the factory tie down points

I used turnbuckles, I was nervous about doing it this way too. I didn't want to drill through my box though. We have done it twice from Eastern South Dakota to Wyoming using two different trucks. Both times went smooth.

Ya that's what I was thinking too. Didn't want to drill through the box neither but you know it's not going anywhere. Were traveling from south west Manitoba to BC so it's a ways too. Thanks for all the help. Cheers
