Sled deck on Toyota Tundra

ive seen a new tundra with a deck and two 136" revs on it, guy said it handled fine with airbags....

Personally, i think mostly hauling one sled, mabye two at times, its fine. And if the sleds are pretty small and light. But say two big boys with turbo apexs? noooo:eek:

Toyota Double Cab 4x specs

CAPACITIES (per Toyota web site)

Weight and capacities:
Curb weight (lbs.) 5520
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) (lbs.) 7100
Maximum Payload [3] (lbs.) 1580 [*]

Payload includes people, gear, etc. Probably close enough unless you get checked by the law.

As far as pulling a 26,000 lb trailer - must be short distances without hills. If this truck had the balls to pull anywhere near that much it would surely be rated for way more than 10,300 lbs of towing.

Toyota says - When equipped with Sport Appearance Package, standard towing capacity decreases to 8300 lbs.

I have a super charged 08 Tundra with a 6" Fabtech lift and airbag overloads that were all dealer installed. I pull the same trailers and haul the same loads I have done in the past with my chiped Ford diesels. I like this one allot better. I registered it for 26000 and pull that much all the time. I wouldn't worry about it being a problem at all, as long as you had your dealer install the airlift overloads. Or at least add a leaf. The rest of the truck can take it easy. I guess I don't need to tell you that.

I would hate to live were you do if they let 1/2 tons get registered for that. Here you could JUST register a 3500 for that, not even a 2500 for that. 20,000lbs trailer behind a little half ton. Were's you sign?
