they sure did, and boy am i glad i got mine! Did you happen to price out a similar equipped model? But, on the other hand, the used market prices will be higher..dont give away your old pro!I hope that works! LOL The SKS is what I want but I think the Roseau boys caught on. My 15 RMK LE was $10,604 plus tax ($11,999 MSRP), which included clicker shocks handlebar underseat and burandt tunnel bag, and electric start.
I was hoping for a SBA with the new chassis and engine. Would be pretty well the same thing. I don't need a 155 out in Saskatchewan but the places I go a 144 is sure nice to have. I go to the mountains the odd time when money and time allow, but not often enough to need a 155.
I was kind of hoping for the 600 in the SKS platform.
That's their big miss in 2016, a SBA 144/141 in the Axys, if I read the new models correctly. The Freerides and XFs will dominate that niche, and the SBA in the pro chassis will be deemed outdated. Maybe poo knows something, but I suspect it was a compromise, maybe inventory. This is the other half the midwest/plains niche (SKS or Assault), and they chose just the SKS half for the Axys.
I’m guessing the reason the SBA did not get updated is because it’s they don’t want it on the “raised” Axys chassis. It’s really an “Indy” with upgrades now when you look at their lineup. They almost need a new chassis for it because of the trail use of it. Some of the guys that tested talked about how the new RMK is more tippy on the trail so I’m guessing that is why it stayed and will get updated next year along with the Indy line.
However I think they missed the mark by not offering a new Axys sled in a 141/144/146. But maybe they don’t sell that well for Polaris. But lots are happy with the 144 Renegade Backcounty option this year so Doo seems to think there is a market there.
