Skis for 2004 800 Summit

I'm the new owner of a stock 2004 800 Summit. I'm on a bit of a limited budget and friends have told me an inexpensive upgrade would be getting a pair of 6.9 Pilot skis. I plan to ride mostly off trail and have read good things about them. Any comments from you more experienced riders. Also anybody got any nearly new take offs they would be willing to sell.
Thanks Jon

I have heard its a real nice upgrade from your stock skis. I happen to know someone that has a pair of black ones in Washington State.

2004 upgrade

Thanks for the reply, If they are in good shape, I'd be interested in learning more, are they just skis or do the have carbides in and handle. I would prefer fully equipped. Thanks again let me know. my email is jonmzee@yahoo.com and I'm in Park City, UT.

the pilot are a good upgrade.....the stock so called "mountain" skid on your sled suck.....i have revs and xps........you shoule be able to get a good deal on a set of pilot skis and save a lot vs. simmons....not saying they are bad skis.....but you want to save some $$$$.....right?......try to get a set of pilots that have t sets of rails per ski......i think you will like them better............

GOOD LUCK
