I'm looking for a tunnel bag that holds a shovel and uses the Axys T-slot mounting system, but not finding much out there other than the Polaris/Burandt system that is pushing $500 after all the add-ons. I like the look and utility of the Skinz version, and the fact that it sits up off the tunnel, but without a dedicated shovel storage pocket, I'm not sure this would be a smart purchase.
Does anyone with either of the Skinz tunnel bags keep their shovel inside the clamshell, on top of the soft bag inside? Does it work well? Does it fit inside the small bag or only the larger one?
Suggestions for another one? I had the BCA version previously and it was OK, but the mounting system is universal and I'd like to utilize the stock mounting system instead of using straps or drilling holes...and keep the bag off the tunnel.
