First ride I'm pretty happy with it.
Set my suspension up playful and fun for messing around, push the lever and have ski control in the steepest of sidehills/ climbs. Its more coupling than i have ever had (or needed before the axys 163x3) the uptrack in deep mashed potatoes can be run at mach 6 and bounce right through 6' bombholes (from uncoupled sleds) and carry enough momentum to play on the upper portion of the hill they couldn't touch. :)

All in all an awesome mod for the fun/ comfort factor.

I was cranking my rear spring setting for every different snow condition before. Now steep gnarly's are just a thumb twitch away.

After installation, did you take some preload off the RTS? I have the 3x with the Float. It seems like when I installed it, even at lowest setting(off), its added preload to the rear skid. I have removed some air out of my RTS, but wondering if I should take some more. It could be a little more playful at times.

Yeah i backed the spring way off.
Just the nitrogen pressure in the shock pushes a little on the rear scissor.
Had to compress the shock 1/2" to get it bolted in.

The tension of the arc shock changed my static sag, so i reset it....

Im going to get that next season for my upcomming 155" axys.

Is that some kind of revised set? Because on the pictures, skinz use another shock and other mounting plates.

Straight from a2d motorsports through WPS last week.

The pro has different mounting plates?

Maybe you looked at the standard arc?

Wanted one of these all winter, and just like everything from skinzs, you cant buy it until the season is over. lol

maybe next year. Eric

I had one here for him next day after he ordered. It's who you know I guess.

So your telling me that you could get this back in nov/dec when I wanted one and they were on back order till feb? Didnt think so. Eric

I would have to agree. 3 stage came first, they showed up quickly. This is the first 2x kit I have seen.

Your not the only one I have heard canceled a order on the 2 stage. I am not super familiar with the 2x Arc. I like the adjustability of my 3x. 3 settings and quick pressure changes in Arc Fox float. If you watch it's not uncommon to see used kits for the same or less than the 2x.

I considered the 3x like you say used prices are attractive.
If any tiny bit of gravel cycled through the suspension and dented the shaft i'd be pissed. Parking lots, driveway, spring rides ect.

Same reason I don't run air shocks or belt drives. Reliability is key to not wasting days, or hours wrenching.

Flat air shocks are a liability.

Current model Fox shocks don't lose air because of shaft dings. The compressed air/gas portion is contained high enough in the sleeve to prevent that from happening. The lower wiper is for the elements only. Got that info straight from Fox when I had a flat Evol repaired this season. BTW - The ARC sounds great. Surprised no manufacturer has licensed the concept.

Interesting....
What made the shock go flat then?

Took my shocks to the local dealer for maintenance service, and one went flat after one ride. When I returned it to them, they said they couldn't fix it, because a ding in the shaft was pooching the seal. Sent it to Fox to replace the shaft and they said a shaft ding can't cause air/gas seal failure. Turns out the technician had misassembled the internals and that had caused the problem.
