Skies PP or slydogs on m series

I've had Sly Dog skis on my sleds for the last 4 years and I really like them, they are much better than stock in the deep snow and trail well for a powder ski. I would recommend them.

I've had the Powder Pros on my last two sleds and swear I'm gonna keep buying them for the next ones. The performance is exactly what SLP says it is. Having had bent one in almost a U shape up against a tree one time and it straightened right back out sells them for me, other than having to straighten the carbide out a bit, the ski went right back to it's original shape, no cracks, stretch marks, or performance loss of any kind.

I haven't tried the PP's, but I did have the Slydogs on for a couple of rides. If you ever ride in crusty snow, you better hold on. They became incredibly unstable at speed. I switched back to stock pretty quickly.

I didnt like the PP on my m1000 as the steering became ridiculously heavy. I actuall think the stock skis work pretty good and money is better spent else where. (MORE POWER, BWHA HA HA HA HA)

Is there any diff. between the 2? like the color skeems of slydog but do they work in powder and trail?

I had Powder Hounds on my 900 RMK and really liked them on both the trail and powder, put them on my M1000 and I like them on the trail and undecided on the powder.

My buddy has Powder Pros on his M1000 and seems to like them.

I haven't rode his enough to compare the two.

PP's

Powder pro's with the spring mod. See the other thread for pics. I rode with a doo guy today who told me he was astounded at how well my sled ripped on the trail, and then I showed him the skis stance and springs he said WOW :beer;

why do people on these forums ask about SKIES all the time ,I like the sunny ones!

^^^X2^^^ As far as skies go...I like sunny ones! ;)

For skis my vote is Powder Pro's. I have them on my M8 and HUGE improvement over stock.

Try doing a search on this topic. There have been a ton of threads for the "best" M ski.

Skis are like your future girlfriend....

What you may like doesn't mean your buddy will. Oh, back to topic... I've run Simmons Gen 1, C&A Pro XT's, Slydogs, USI Triple Threat, MODS, and now have a set of Powder Pros on my M1000. In order, here's my pick:
#1: SLP Powder Pros
#2: MODS
#3: USI Triple Threat
#4: C&A Pro XT's
#5: Stock
#6: Simmons
#7: Slydogs
This simply my opinion - I like a light feeling ski and don't give a $hit what the trail manners are - the trail is just the way to the alpine.
